At Connected for Change, we are committed to protecting the privacy of students, educators, and schools, and to handling personal information responsibly and transparently. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when delivering educational programming and related resources. From time to time, we may update this statement to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "last revised" date at the top of the page will always show the most current version.
Canvas LMS: Canvas collects only the information needed to support coursework, keeps it secure, and never sells or shares it for advertising. Reports are generated using anonymized data to help improve products. Parents, educators, and academic institutions may review data collected, request deletion, or request no further collection. Google Polls: Polls are configured to collect anonymous responses. Results are reviewed in aggregate to understand program effectiveness while keeping individual students anonymous.
Genially: Some lessons and activities include interactive content created with a third-party platform. When students interact with this content (for example, by clicking through slides or exploring interactive features), the platform may collect anonymous usage data, such as the number of views or clicks. No personal information is collected or shared when content is accessed through the program and students are not required to create a Genially account.
School Control: Teachers and schools retain ownership of student data. Connected for Change will only use online submissions and surveys for program monitoring, data-driven improvements, and to share aggregate, anonymized statistics (e.g. participation rates, student feedback trends) for reporting and outreach purposes.
